Cricket betting at tk11 — choose the best markets for T20, ODI and Test matches
Match winner, top batsman, live betting for every BPL, IPL, T20 World Cup and international cricket match — all available in one place at tk11.
The three formats of cricket and competitions you can bet on
Understanding cricket betting starts with the format. T20 is the shortest — just twenty overs, so odds shift quickly. In ODI, fifty overs open up many markets around each team's total score. Test cricket is played over five days, with a draw as a separate possible result — which also makes the nature of the markets different.
For Bangladeshi fans, BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) and IPL are always the most talked-about. ICC T20 World Cup, Asia Cup and bilateral series also bring active betting activity at tk11. Bangladesh Tigers matches naturally see the highest market demand.
Football and other sports alongside cricket
Cricket is the main draw at tk11, but there are enough markets for football as well. In football, the match result has three options — 1-X-2 (home win, draw, away win) — so the odds structure differs from cricket. In limited-overs cricket there is no draw, so odds are generally split between two options.
Sports like tennis, badminton or kabaddi usually have fewer markets and limited live betting options. To see the full list of sports available for betting, visit the sports section at tk11 Bet.
Which are the popular betting markets in cricket
Below is a brief introduction to seven familiar markets — each explained with a straightforward example.
Match Winner
Which team wins the match — the simplest market. In T20 and ODI there are only two options; in Test, a draw is also available.
Team A 1.45, Team B 2.75 — placing ৳1,000 on Team B returns ৳2,750 if Team B wins (profit ৳1,750).
Toss Betting
A bet on which team wins the toss before the match starts. A completely separate market, with no connection to the match result.
In toss betting, odds for both sides are usually close to each other, since the chances are nearly equal.
Top Batsman
A bet on which batsman scores the most runs in the match. Available within one team or across the whole match — both options exist.
Which batsman in Team A scores the most runs — odds are spread across multiple options.
Total Runs — Over/Under
A bet on whether the combined runs of both teams will be more (over) or less (under) than a set number.
If the T20 total runs line is 330 — if both teams score 331 or more together, "over" wins.
Multi Bet
Several selections combined into one bet. If all selections are correct the return is much higher, but if even one is wrong the entire bet is lost.
Three selections — odds 1.40 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 4.79 (roughly). ৳100 returns ৳479, but only if all three are correct.
Session Betting and Wicket Markets
How many wickets will fall within a set number of overs, or how many runs will be scored in a particular over — these markets are most active in live betting.
Will Team A score more or less than 45 runs in the first five overs — this can be placed before the innings starts or live during the match.
How to read decimal, fractional and American odds
Odds at tk11 are generally shown in decimal format, but all three formats appear across different sites. All three say the same thing — only the way they are written differs.
| Format | Team A (win) | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | Total return of ৳2.50 for every ৳1 staked (including profit) |
| Fractional | 3/2 | ৳3 profit for every ৳2 staked |
| American | +150 | ৳150 profit on a ৳100 stake |
Decimal 2.50 = fractional 3/2 = American +150. If the bet wins, the return is ৳1,250 (profit ৳750 + original ৳500); if it loses, ৳500 is gone.
Decimal 1.25 = fractional 1/4 = American -400. A negative American odds figure means ৳400 must be staked to win ৳100 profit. On a ৳500 stake the return is ৳625 (profit ৳125).
Why are decimal odds easier?
The total return can be worked out directly — just multiply the stake by the decimal odds. ৳500 × 2.50 = ৳1,250.
Is a betting exchange different?
On an exchange you bet against another bettor. BACK means betting that the team will win, LAY means betting that they will lose — two different roles. A commission is deducted.
Live in-play betting — odds shift with every wicket and over
When betting live during a match, odds change ball by ball. A wicket falling immediately raises the batting side's odds — because their chances of winning have dropped. If the batting team scores quickly in the powerplay, their odds come down.
Live betting makes watching cricket more engaging — each over's events affect the market. It is worth remembering, though, that placing bets without thinking just because a quick decision is needed is best avoided. Betting is for entertainment only — for more on playing responsibly, read the Responsible Gaming page.
Alongside live betting, tk11's live casino markets are also active — Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live table games are available at tk11 Casino.
A few practical tips for cricket betting
- Start with one market — understand match winner first, then move to other markets gradually.
- Consider each match on its own — look at pitch conditions, weather and team strength together.
- When placing a multi bet, keep the number of selections low — not every selection has an equal chance of winning.
- In live betting, do not rush — assess the situation before making a decision.
- Set a budget and staying within it is the most important habit to build.
- Like casino games, betting is for entertainment — there is no guarantee of profit, so keep losses within what you can afford.
